Wetherby – 3rd May 2011

After a blustery weekend, we were pleased to have a calm and very sunny evening to ride out into earlier.  Twelve riders met, including a new rider Tom.  Welcome Tom, it was good to have you along.  We opted for a familiar route, but in reverse.  We made our way out of Harrogate into Knaresborough and then onto Farnham, where Ben got a puncture.  This gave us all a chance to catch our breath and for Alex to provide us with the quote of the evening…”I’ve sold my car, and bought half a new bike”.  Nice one Alex and we look forward to seeing your new piece of carbon soon!!

We were soon back on our way and headed into Arkendale and onto the A168 for a bit more “through and off” practice marshalled by Corporal Yates.  Before we knew it we were down in Wetherby.  We then headed out of Wetherby towards Sicklinghall, where we noticed a sudden drop in temperature after the sun had gone down.  We then continued in Kirkby Overblow, before returning back to Harrogate, through Burnbridge and along Leadhall Lane.

Another very nice Cappuccino mid-week ride.
