Team Sky ride with Cappuccino Cycling Club

So far, 2014 has been an amazing year for the club, but I don’t think you can top it when the current Tour de France champion comes to town on a recce with a few of his team mates and allows a few members of the Cappuccino Cycling Club the chance to tag along for a few miles.

Well, this is what happened on the first weekend of June when Chris Froome, Richie Porte, David Lopez and Mikel Nieve visited Harrogate as part of a reccon of stages 1 and 2 of this years Tour de France Grand Depart.  As luck would have it a few members of the club knew where Team Sky were staying and turned up one morning to see what they could see and ended riding a few miles with the esteemed quartet under a police escort!

Our thanks go out to Chris Froome and all of Team Sky for letting this happen, it will go down in club history and brought many smiles to the membership.
