Ten riders gathered tonight in fresh conditions for a flattish ride to Boroughbridge and Ripon, with several riders fresh from competing in the tough Etape du Dales there was unsurprisingly no objections.
So off we set to Knaresborough and straight up Briggate Hill (Oh the pain). Boroughbridge was soon reached with a strong tailwind pushing the average speed up. From Boroughbridge it was on to Skelton with the wind now on the nose. Group riding skills were the order of the night now with Ripon coming up quickly. On to Littlethorpe and Bishop Monkton, Ripley and back into Harrogate.
A 30mile ride at an 18mph average given the conditions and those tired legs from the weekend it was a very fast ride. With the group working well and sharing the work in the strong wind.
