I like your site and hope to get my Colorado,USA version up to your level. We have a few little hills here so the riding is different, probably a little less rain but a little more snow (right now). The picture on my site is Mt Evans as seen from Denver. There is a road all the way to the top, at about 14,200 ft., and it is a frequent ride location for the locals here in Denver.

Hi James, we normally ride about 25-30miles on an evening. We also try to mix it up as well. Hilly sometimes, flat and fast others. Sign up to our Facebook page for more ride info.

Hi Aamir,
If you are moving to Harrogate and working in Leeds, then you are going to have to use the A61, but only for a small stretch. A good route would be to leave Harrogate and head for Kirkby Overblow. From there drop down to the A61 until you get to Harewood Bridge, where you turn right towards Otley. After about 1/2mile turn left towards Weardley. You can then follow Eccup Lane and King Lane into Alwoodley, where you can then head towards Chapel Allerton. I would allow about 1.5 - 2 hours for the trip.
Good luck with the move and hope to see you on one of our club rides when you move up?

Hi all,
Moving to Harrogate in April from Oxford, but will be working in Leeds (Chapel Allerton). I fancy cycling to work a few times a week but don't fancy the A61. Has anyone used any alternative routes? If so how long will it roughly take sat average speed is 13mph.

Cheers

Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your note - we will take a look at your site. I must admit though that a few of us are regulars at the Belveder Bike Hotel in Riccione, which is a great hotel.
